Looking at truth, Christmas is a sinful act of unrighteousness including all of its pagan traditions. One does not need to be a message believer to understand this. There is a myriad of history on Christmas traditions that one can find on this subject. It all points to two big things: pagan ceremonies and commercialism, not the birth of Jesus Christ. First, too many Christians take this subject too lightly because it seems innocent and harmless. As Christians we need to take a stand for what the message of the hour really is and avoid the Christmas trap. The only way we can do this is to fully understand what God thinks about it. Time and time again, Brother Branham tried to show the corruption involved with this holiday. He knew in his heart after he progressed in truth that Christmas was a dogma that was handed down by the Roman Catholic church.
Yes, it is no secret that Brother Branham had a Christmas tree in his home, and most message people use that to justify having a Christmas tree as well. However, Brother Branham’s personal life was not given to us as an example of truth; it is the message that he brought to us that is our example. God sent him to take us back to the word, and get us away from erroneous ideas and traditions of man.
TAKE WARNING ABOUT CHRISTMAS
First, Christ was never in Christmas and never will be in Christmas; it is a lie. You cannot put Christ back into Christmas because he never was in it. The word Christmas means “Christ’s mass” which is a Roman Catholic ceremony. It is not in the Bible.
I am afraid that many people do not realize the serious consequences of participating in this pagan holiday. In the eyes of God it is an abomination. However, I sometimes wonder if Christians ever stop and think of how much God hates idolatry and pagan worship? If there was ever anything that provoked God to anger in the Bible, it was idolatry and pagan worship. When we look at Christmas or even the spirit of Christmas it is very much hated by God. Knowing this, why should we ever want to have anything to do with it? God Hates It! We should never entertain this spirit in anyway whatsoever. Even the smallest participation in Christmas is of the wrong spirit, and it will grieve the Holy Spirit. Christians (message believers especially) should separate themselves from every appearance of this evil and sinful holiday season. We should guard our mind, soul, and body from being lured into participating in Christmas. Sure, you will be persecuted when you do, but God will bless you for your obedience. It is so easy to get caught up in the spirit of this holiday because it is so enticing. Everywhere you go (the mall for instance) there are beautiful lights, greenery, pleasant music, and sweet fragrances to catch your attention. Remember one thing, sin is beautiful and pleasant to the human senses, that is why it is so easy to fall into the Christmas trap.
The Bible says learn not the way of heathen. Therefore, my Christian friends, we should take a stand against sin (unbelief), and without doubt, Christmas is sin because it is a million miles from God’s word. How blessed we are to know the truth. God sent his messenger in this last day to call the Bride out of every creed, out of every dogma, and out of every tradition of man to live a pure sanctified life before God. It takes a born again experience by the Holy Ghost to stay true to the word in this hour. Let us therefore fear God in the spirit of truth and obey his commandments. 21 Studying on mythology and all these myths, Christmas itself is a myth. It's not no--nothing real about Christmas. Christmas wasn't even mentioned in the Bible; they never worshipped the birthday of Christ. Wasn't no such a thing. That's a Roman Catholic dogma and not a Christian teaching, no Scripture for it nowhere in the Bible and for the first hundred years after the Bible (See?) nothing of it. It's just a myth.
